About

My love of art started at an early age and grew with me. Whilst I was in full time employment it bubbled away in the background. In 1996 I took a BA Art degree course under private tutelage. In 2002, with new artistic principles and understanding my painting took on a more significant role. I studied art history for two years at the UEA and received private tuition for painting and drawing. More recently I attended summer school at The Art Academy in London for portraiture and last year I decided to take early retirement from the NHS to concentrate fully on my painting career.

I work primarily in oil but also use charcoal, pencil and occasionally collage.  My paintings can be seen in galleries throughout Suffolk and London and occasionally in group exhibitions within the local area. My work is regularly shown at the Mall Galleries in The Discerning Eye, New English, RP and ROI annual exhibions.
